SC Stays SSC SSL Tier II Results

Supreme Court today has holded the confirmation of Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level, SSC CGL & Senior Secondary level Exam results. In the order declared by the bench including Justices S A Bobde & L Nageswara Rao, the apex court told that prima facie the whole exam process is tainted. SSC CGL 2017 examinations were held in the month of February and SSC was anticipated to announce the results for SSC CGL Tier II 2018 exam early.

The bench said that, “It prima facie appears that the whole SSC system is tainted and complete examinations (2017) are tainted. It can’t be trusted that the custodian of the exam paper is himself leaking out the paper.” In retrospect, the court has demanded the declaration of the results to be holded presently. The court would further have a call on the case after scrutinizing through the status report of Central Bureau of Investigation.

The CBI details has invited doubt and questioned few of the SSC authorities and the custodian of the exam paper. The top court has also asked upon Additional Solicitor General Vikramjit Banerjee, sitting CBI for justifying with the SSC officials.

Linking Banerjee, the bench said, “Mr Solicitor, it is shocking that you are holding this stand. You are on the side of CBI and you should have told that the examination should be cancelled. Your status report says many people and you are taking a vague stand.”

Appearing for petitioner Shantanu Kumar, Advocates Prashant Bhushan & Govind Jee told that in the preliminary report surrendered by CBI, the custodian of the paper had found guilty to leak the paper. Shouting out to the discrepancies, Bhushan has demanded a stay on the results. SSC was previously predicted to declare the SSC CGL 2017 results within a day or two.

The allegations mentioned at the door of SSC is that the examination is outsources to a separate vendor who is allegedly linked with the Satam Scam. The petitioner also claimed that there was a good probability of frauding and the examination was in turn a shame as the creditor in turn further subsource the contract to hold exam.

SSC CGL 2017 Tier II Examination Results were delaying after a PIL file done March 20th alleging big cheating and malpractices in the exam. A broadspread agitation compelled the hand of SSC to suggest a CBI investigation. The SSC CGL is a 4 tier exam for recruitment at many Group C and D posts in various governmental departments.
